Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) welcomed the delegation from the University of Nusa Cendana (Undana) Kupang, West Nusa Tenggara (NTT), who carried out benchmarking at the 8th Floor of the Rectorate Building, Unesa Lidah Wetan Campus, on Friday , November 24 2023.
The campus visit was carried out in the context of a comparative study regarding cooperation strategies between domestic and foreign universities. This is based on an increase in UNESA's 6th Main Performance Indicator (IKU) with 3 superior educational bases: sports, arts and culture and disabilities.
In his speech, Prof. Slamet Setiawan, M.A., Ph.D., Director of ICT and Cooperation at UNESA said that this collaboration is needed to strengthen synergies in the fields of research, student exchanges and joint programs.
“UNESA has succeeded in achieving the IKU-target 6 from 6 percent to 100 percent. "This is based on various collaborations that have been established, both nationally and internationally," he added.
This activity aims to exchange experiences, understand best practices, and evaluate achievements, especially on the 6th Key Performance Indicator (IKU). , which is related to university collaboration.
In IKU-6 there is a measurement of the extent to which universities establish partnerships and cooperation with industry, both at regional, national and international levels.
It This can include joint research projects, student internships at companies, or curriculum development relevant to industry needs.
Imanuel Benu, S.Pt., Ph.D, Coordinator of Nusa Cendana University explained that he came to UNESA to stated their commitment to advancing the world of education and presenting innovation so that it reaches international standards.
“To maximize collaboration with UNESA, we hope we can strengthen the program from UNESA's experience. "We need to share a lot here because we have a strong determination to increase value and not stagnate," he hoped.
In the forum, the two parties exchanged ideas about cooperation models that have been proven to be effective and sustainable. One of the main focuses is the cooperation reporting system.
Beni Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Head of the UNESA Domestic Cooperation Team explained several important aspects which are the main influence in reporting cooperation documents, including MoA, IA, MoU documents, number, form, subject and content of cooperation documents.
Next , in the foreign cooperation reporting system presented by Muhammad Nurul Ashar, S.Pd., M.Ed from the Office of International Affairs (KUI), Unesa has a fairly efficient system, namely by recruiting student volunteers with placements in various divisions.
This also received a positive response from various parties, especially Undana, which will adopt the system. "UNESA is also carrying out a cooperative HR development strategy, one of which is by providing maintenance internally and externally by attending capacity training and building for staff," he concluded.[]
