Iqbal explained that the process of water filtration in WWTP consisted of three stages, namely physical, chemical and biological filtering. Wastewater taken from the gutters first defined using a pump, then filtered using zeolite stones and coconut fiber to remove dirt particles.
After that, the water is chemically processed using charcoal and pumice to neutralize pH and color. In the final stages, water through biological processes with bioball media and ginger corals to eliminate odors
"It takes about six hours during the initial installation to produce clean water, and only two hours when the system is active," he explained. This WWTP is not without challenges. Iqbal revealed that his team had experienced various obstacles, such as the leak of the bucket tap to the problem of electrical installation.
But their enthusiasm did not recede. Thanks to the full support of residents, ranging from providing places, equipment, to consumption, becomes positive energy that unites their steps.
