Unesa.ac. id, SURABAYA – State University of Surabaya (UNESA) continues to expand cooperation with various parties. Most recently, UNESA is collaborating with SEAMEO QITEP in Language (SEAQIL). The MoU signing ceremony was held on Friday (22/10/2021) in the VIP Room, 8th Floor, UNESA Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus.
This event was attended by Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd., as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Trisakti, M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Language and Arts, Asrori, M.Pd., Chair of OIA, Octo Dendy Andriyanto, S.Pd., M.Pd as Chair of BIPA and Dr Pratiwi Retnaningdyah Head of English Language and Literature Department. Meanwhile, from SEAMEO QITEP, Dr. Luh Anik Mayani as director of SEAMEO QITEP in Language and his staff.
The MoU focuses on increasing cooperation in the fields of language and literacy. The signing of the collaboration was also a follow-up after the UNESA BIPA program received a grant to produce BIPA teaching materials. "Hopefully this collaboration can improve the development of linguistics and literacy," said Luh Anik.
In his remarks, Bambang Yulianto revealed that later the follow-up to this MoU would be an MoE with the Faculty of Languages and Arts as well as a cooperation agreement between BIPA and the UNESA Literacy Study Center. In this collaboration, the BIPA program will produce teaching materials, and the focus is on BIPA teachers. "In the future, there will be several programs such as guest lectures or guest lectures," he said.
Both parties hope to make a major contribution to the development of language and literacy both at SEAMEO QITEP in Language and at UNESA. After the signing, the event continued with a joint discussion discussing future cooperation programs. (Ay/Hasna/zam*)
