Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya–In order to measure individual potential to predict the competence of education personnel and employees, the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held an online socialization of the 2021 Employee Competency Prediction Assessment on Thursday (24/6/2021).
The socialization event was attended by around 300 participants consisting of staff and staff from UNESA and attended by Dr. Sulaksono, S.H., M.H, the head of BUK and Hendra Erdiawan, S.ST as the Personnel Manager. In addition, the deputy dean for general affairs and the head of the UNESA environment bureau were also present.
Sulaksono explained that employee assessments must be carried out periodically by institutions and even ministries. The goal is to collect employee competency prediction profile data as material for HR management which includes competency development, talent management, rotation or transfer, and promotion.
The assessment has a legal basis in the form of Law Number 5 of 2014 concerning State Civil Apparatus, Government Regulation Number 17 of 2020 concerning Management of Civil Servants. Regulation of the Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Number 38 of 2017 concerning Competency Standards for Positions of State Civil Apparatus.
Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 7 of 2013 concerning Guidelines for Competency-Based Employee Arrangements in the Ministry of Education and Culture. Regulation of the State Civil Service Agency Number 26 of 2019 concerning Competency Assessment. And, Permendikbud Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Organization and Work Procedure of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Sulaksono added that the assessment program was based on a merit system, namely ASN policies and management based on qualifications, competencies, and performance, which were applied fairly and fairly.
The Head of BUK UNESA said that there were around 295 UNESA employees who had been registered in the assessment program. From that amount, it is hoped that the data can be mapped properly to assist in making appropriate and useful policies. "Through this assessment, later employees can improve their abilities and skills to be much better, in order to support Unesa's progress in the future," he hoped. (Hasna)
