Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—The ranks of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held a meeting with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), State University of Malang (UM) at the LPPM UNESA Office , on Wednesday, September 6 2023.
The meeting discussed research collaboration and community service. Chair of LP2M UM, Prof. Dr. Markus Diantoro, M.Sc., said that this visit was a follow-up to the previous agreement with UNESA.
“So that we move forward together. The hope is that from here we can research and produce publications together. This year we have collaborated on research on 4 topics. "Next year it can be increased to 10 research and service topics," he said.
The UM Materials Physics Professor added that this research and service collaboration can be applied to allied topics through the Matching Fund scheme. "Hopefully this will soon be realized and there will be an increase in the quality and quality of research that can be produced," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Director of LPPM UNESA, Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Turhan Yani, M.A., added, both of them are committed to improving the quality and quality of research at the level of each LPPM study center.

“We have many study centers such as the Center for Gender and Child Studies, the Center for Rural Development, Regional and Renewable Energy Studies, the Center for Literacy Studies and many more. We can collaborate on this, "Moreover, PTN BH is required to be collaborative across sciences and fields," he said.
The party also has a plan as expected by UM, for the 2024 scheme, research will prioritize having a network of researchers or research partners from other universities, including abroad, so that UM can invite UNESA's top researchers and vice versa.
At this meeting, the LP2M UM group numbered 10 people consisting of the LP2M chairman, head of the study center, and staff. Meanwhile, LPPM UNESA was also attended by the director, head of the study center and staff. [*]
