Two speakers from the Directorate General of Education and Technology provided a number of reinforcements in the workshop to increase and strengthen UNESA cooperation.

SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) through the Directorate of Cooperation, Information Technology and Data Center again demonstrated its commitment to maintaining the achievements of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) by holding a "Workshop on Improving and Strengthening Cooperation" at Swiss-Belinn Airport Surabaya, on 17 -18 October 2024.
This 2-day event presented two main speakers, namely Yayat Hendayana, as General Coordinator, Public Relations and Cooperation of the Directorate General of Higher Education, and Firman Hidayat, Sub-coordinator of Cooperation of the Directorate General Diktiristek.
The speakers conveyed the cooperation strategies needed to maintain IKU's achievements, especially IKU-6 regarding study programs in collaboration with world-class partners.
In their presentation entitled 'Management Collaboration in Higher Education,' Yayat Hendayana showed UNESA cooperation statistics which he said would be ideal in 2023. UNESA IKU-6 based cooperation documents reached a percentage of 169% in the state higher education category.
This workshop was attended by heads of institutions, directors, deputy deans for field 2, and UNESA D-4 and S-1 study program coordinators.
According to him, this figure needs to be maintained, even improved. Apart from that, he also encouraged each study program to upload cooperation documents in accordance with existing guidelines. Collaboration documents must comply with the provisions, types, and document reporting techniques, in order to receive the appropriate weight for IKU-6 verification.
"The key to maintaining IKU-6 achievements is hard work and smart work, not only from university leaders ", but also the heads of faculties and study programs and continue to look at the guidelines related to uploading IKU documents," he said.
In the next session, Firman Hidayat emphasized the importance of proactive collaboration with quality partners, such as multinational companies, state-owned companies, and collaboration with universities listed in the QS World University Rankings. According to him, consistency and commitment from university and faculty leaders is an important key in maintaining IKU.
"The 2024 IKU-6 target requires increased cooperation in various fields, including curriculum development, internship programs, and capacity strengthening lecturers and students through upskilling and reskilling programs," he said.
It is hoped that this activity will increase motivation and strengthen the commitment of all levels of work units in strengthening cooperation according to provisions, and emphasize that cooperation This has an impact on students and graduates.
At the opening, the Director of Cooperation Information Technology and Data Center, Slamet Setiawan, explained that this workshop was intended to strengthen commitment and collaboration in maintaining and improving UNESA's IKU-6 achievements.
"Hopefully this meeting will be our shared commitment to maintaining the dignity of UNESA, as always emphasized by the Chancellor, that we can work together to bring proud results for our campus," he hoped.
This activity was also attended by UNESA professor, Sujarwanto, who shared his experience leading UNESA cooperation in the previous period. He emphasized the importance of synergy in safeguarding IKU achievements.
It is hoped that with this workshop, UNESA can produce even more proud achievements. "Hopefully the instructions given from the two resource persons will provide learning and good practice in all work units," he explained in the activity which was attended by heads of institutions, directors, deputy deans for field 2, and D-4 and S-1 study program coordinators within UNESA.[*]
