Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA ) continues to expand its collaboration network with various foreign universities. Most recently, the campus with the tagline 'one step ahead' discussed cooperation with the Higher School of Economics University (HSE) Russia, in the Meeting Room, Rectorate, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya on Monday, August 12 2024.
During his visit, the Russian HSE together with UNESA leaders discussed cooperation programs in the field of education, starting from exchange programs, research and everything related to UNESA's internationalization program.
Vice Chancellor IV for Division Planning, Development, Cooperation and Information and Communication Technology, Martadi said, so far UNESA is still focused on cooperation within Asia and Europe only. So that through this collaboration we can open up opportunities for synergy with Eastern Europe.
"It turns out there are many things that interest us and when we have links with Eastern Europe it is an opportunity that will continue to enrich us academically," he said.
This collaboration is expected to encourage human resource development, internationalization of programs, and increase student abilities. Students can get the opportunity to take part in exchange programs to Eastern Europe at affordable costs or vice versa, whether in the form of summer courses or other programs.
UNESA leaders and staff together with the HSE delegation Russia expressed its commitment to realizing cooperation, one of which is in the form of student exchanges.
“We wants to encourage these students to go out to have an international perspective. "In this way, their space for self-development will be more open for careers when they graduate, then the institution will be able to boost its reputation better in line with the rector's vision of international activities," he added.
