Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–The UNESA Natural Sciences Student Association (HMJ IPA) held a "National Seminar on Entrepreneurship" with the theme "Creative Idea Business on Pandemic" on December 11, 2021. This webinar featured resource persons Nanang Suherman, Founder of ABC Corp (Anak Baik Corporation) and Hujjatullah Fazlurrahman, SE., MBA., as Head of UNESA Digital Business Study Program.
The event was opened with remarks by Prof. Dr. Erman, M. Pd, Head of Department of Science, UNESA. He said that webinars like this are very crucial in the era of the pandemic in order to capture business opportunities and increase creativity. "To become an entrepreneur requires various skills, such as problem solving skills, competence and skills in thinking and communicating," he said.
Nanang Suherman on that occasion shared the story of his life journey as an entrepreneur. He admitted that he was not too outstanding in the academic field. However, chose to start a business and married young. "I have been bankrupt many times, and have also risen many times, to the position that I am today," he said.

Under his guidance, Nelongso Group has approximately 70 branches spread across dozens of cities in Indonesia that have received halal certificates. According to him, expanding branches means expanding the benefits for the crew and the community, as well as being a Muslim entrepreneur who plays a role and has an impact. In this era of pandemic and crisis, he advised business actors to always be solid, strengthen teams and SOPs, maintain relationships, and be sensitive and alert to new opportunities.
Hujjatullah Fazlurrahman, SE., MBA., in the next material discussed "How to Start Business Form Zero during Covid-19". He shared tips on starting a business or business in the pandemic era. First, focus on what consumers need today. Second, develop a digital marketing strategy. Third, create long-term relationships. Fourth, connect with customers. Fifth, always think positive.
