Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held the 103rd period graduation in 2022, which was attended by 170 undergraduate (S-1) students online on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Dean of FBS, Dr. Trisakti, M.Si said that the graduation is a sign that students have completed their learning obligations in higher education. This one stage has been passed with various memories and struggles.
FBS is also happy for the students' achievements. Despite the pandemic, he still managed to finish his studies well. "There is a happy face that is ready to apply science to meet the future, success and a new life in society," he said.
The Judiciary period 103 'produced' graduates with the highest cumulative achievement index (GPA) at the faculty level. They are Putri Lailatul Khazanah from S-1 Mandarin Language Education with a 3.9 GPA, with honors.
Then Adi Purnomo from S-1 Mandarin Education with a GPA of 3.9, honors, and Maggie Nur Hamidah from S-1 Mandarin Education with GPA 3.88, honors. They get certificates of appreciation and cash from the faculty.
Meanwhile, the best graduates of the non-academic scoring system (Sipena). First, Meinita Istantiani with a TKM score of 4,005. Second, Riris Purbosari scored a TKM of 3,860, and the third was achieved by Dinda Ayu Hermawati with a TKM score of 2,715. Each student also received a certificate of appreciation and cash.
The participant's representative, Putri Khazanah from S-1 Mandarin Education, delivered her remarks for the lecturers, parents.
"Thank you to the lecturers for the knowledge, experience, and guidance that have been given. We pray for all of you to stay healthy and carry out your sustenance. Thank you so much to our parents," said Putri Khazanah, the participant's representative.
The Chairperson of the Senate of the Faculty of Languages and Arts UNESA said that FBS graduates were not ordinary graduates. Graduates are prospective teachers or prospective workers who are strong, have character and compete. He believes that FBS graduates are able to become pioneers of change wherever they are, both in the workplace and in society.
He advised the participants not to be satisfied with what they got on campus. Even after graduating, learning must continue. Learning can be anywhere and with anyone. So that knowledge and competence are increasingly developed and sharp.
“Keep learning and training yourself, either by reading, attending training or seminars that are abundant in cyberspace. Because, critical thinking, creative and character must continue to be honed. Keep your name and be proud of your alma mater wherever you are,” he said. [UNESA PR]
