Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA—A total of 1,980 participants from various regions took the first session 1 and 2 days of UTBK-SNBT at Surabaya State University (UNESA) Campus 1 Ketintang and Campus 2 Lidah Wetan on Tuesday, April 30 2024.
Head of Sub-Directorate for UNESA Student Admissions and Graduation Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd., said that the first day of the test was attended by participants from various regions throughout Indonesia. There were those from Aceh, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Maluku, Kalimantan and Papua."The UNESA UTBK test participants were incredibly distributed. The first session of the test was attended by 990 participants, 36 participants were declared absent without confirmation. The second session also 990 participants attended, 45 participants did not attend, also without confirmation," he explained.
Sukarmin added that the test implementation in the first and second sessions generally went smoothly. The participants also follow the test requirements both in terms of clothing and completeness of documents.
The supervisor checks and ensures that the participants are clean from prohibited items during the UTBK test using a metal detector.
Participants also follow the procedures and do not bring prohibited items during the test. To avoid undesirable things, the committee or supervisors also strictly check participants' belongings using a metal detector.
Apart from that, each test room is also supervised by a team of supervisors from lecturer element. The number of supervisors for each session reaches 50 people. A standard room is filled with 1-2 supervisors. The rather large room has 2-5 lecturers who supervise and ensure the test runs smoothly.
Regarding the test system, in general it runs as expected. It's just that there was a delay in the first minute of the first test session. The rest went well.
"The first session this morning the system had a delay of around 1 minute. This happened at all UTBK test locations. This is normal for the first session. Then the test went smoothly, " he explained.
The lecturer who was born in Magetan added, in anticipation of the network or server down, UNESA has prepared 7 servers and room technicians, to handle control and networking in each test room.
UTBK at UNESA gives a different impression to the participants. As stated by Nadya Ulya Rahmadani, a participant from Jayapura, Papua, for example, admitted that she was comfortable taking tests at the "Home of Champions" campus.
“UNESA turns out to be that comfortable, yes, the campus. Beautiful, comfortable, clean, beautiful, lots of trees. During the exam, the room was clean and the desk was neatly arranged, so you could focus on working on the questions. "The test was smooth and hopefully the results will be optimal," said the first session test participant.

He chose the test at UNESA because he chose the Bachelor of Cosmetology study program also at UNESA. Another option is Unair Dentistry. He also wants to see the campus atmosphere as motivation to learn to prepare himself for college.
"Hopefully I can get maximum test scores and be accepted into the study program I choose, namely UNESA Cosmetology or Unair Dentistry. I have an interest who is high in the field of cosmetology and make-up," he said. []
