Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Facing the situation in the pandemic as it is now does need cooperation and a blaze of spirit in sharing. Sharing can not only ease the lives of others, but it can also provide positive stimulus and a spirit of kindness to others.
That's what Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) did through the Jumat Berkah program held on Friday (05/03/2021) in front of the gate of Unesa Lidah Wetan Campus. Bibit Sucipto, Director of Pandesa Riding School said that the activity was held while paying attention to health protocols, so that all must wear masks, keep a safe distance of at least one meter, and provided hand sanitizer.
"Because it involves many people, this activity must obey the prokes for the sake of safety and health together. I do not want, this good activity is considered not good because of the lack of attention to prokes," said the man who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Sports Science Unesa. "In order to implement health protocols as advised, the activity is directly monitored by dr. Endang," he continued.
Friday blessing is a sharing program held by Unesa every Friday and has been running two activities. Previously Unesa shared 50 servings of boxed rice and at the same time Unesa in collaboration with the Crisis Center Mitigation Unit (SMCC) provided as many as 200 servings of boxed rice for the community.
The program received many positive responses and was greeted with enthusiasm by residents and road users, one of whom was Didik Sugianto. He said that Friday's activity was a positive activity.
According to him, the sharing activity is enough to help road users and local residents. Although it is just a rice box, it can give its own meaning to people in need. "Alhamdulillah, thank you to all who have wanted to share their sustenance. Hopefully it can be a blessing and useful," he said.
"The current situation and conditions are alarming, income decreased drastically, especially in the lower sector. This activity is a form of our concern for others," said Bibit Sucipto. "This agenda, the plan will be held regularly every Friday. Hopefully all is well and always healthy," he concluded. (Pr. Unesa)
