Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) itself has been entered as an independent cluster. Meanwhile, Community Service (PKM) has entered as a superior cluster. Sekalan with Unesa's desire to become PTN-BH, required a strong and sustainable income generating unit.
Unesa Science and Techno Park (USTP) is here to create a business unit based on research products and PKM sivitas akademika Unesa for downstreaming and commercialization of research products and PKM. The implementation of PKM which is fairly short, namely from August to December 2020 has succeeded in making a big impact for the downstreaming and commercialization of research products and PKM academicians Unesa. The USTP building itself is located on Jl. Unesa-Cita Raya (next to Graha Unesa and in front of Unesa futsal court).
In cooperation with partners, Universitas Negeri Surabaya provides a two-storey building of containers that is used as Unesa Science and Techno Park (USTP) as a business unit to display superior products as well as sell products. PKM Unesa Science and Techno Park (USTP) was initiated and realized by Dr. Warju, S.Pd., S.T., M.T. , Prof. Dr. Darni, M.Hum, Prof. Dr. Titik Taufikurohmah, S.Si., M.Si, Marsudi, S.Pd., M.Pd. and Prima Vidya Asteria, S.Pd., M.Pd. In achieving the desired goal, Warju explained that PKM itself is divided into several stages of activities, namely collecting research products and PKM for the last 5 years that are ready to sell as a superior product Unesa. designing and equipping water furniture in the business unit on Jl. Unesa-CitraRaya, and develop the target and marketing strategy / promotion of products to the public.
Unesa Science and Techno Park (USTP) has three booths, consisting of the first Booth filled with three excellent Products Unesa (cosmetic nanogold, serum nanogold and Haircos). The second booth, filled with teaching book products by Unesa lecturers since 2015-2019 as many as 557 titles that are ready for sale. Then, the third booth is filled with environmentally friendly motorcycle exhaust innovation products where the patent certificate and metallic catalytic converter (MCC) brand have been granted and are currently in the process of certification of SNI products. In addition to MCC products, the third booth is also filled with other innovation products in the form of kelor leaf-based food and beverages called Moringa Food Center.
Those who participate in implementing this PKM program are lecturers and students who have submitted superior products of research results and their PKM along with descriptions and prices to be displayed on USTP and innovation websites. "The superior product data of research results and PKM based on the mapping of superior products conducted by the Center for Research and Strengthening Innovation (RPI Center), the Center for PKM and Marketing science (PKM-PI), and the Business Incubation Center (PIB) LPPM Unesa" added Warju. In addition, USTP also promotes Unesa's superior products through an exhibition held at the INAPRO Exhibition on November 19-22, 2020 in Grand City Surabaya.
