Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Networking and collaboration are the keys to progress in this century. For this reason, Surabaya State University cooperates with BPJS Kesehatan East Java. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was held on Wednesday, 27 October 2021 at UNESA, Lidah Wetan Campus. The cooperation is planned to be realized in various fields; education, research and health.
Prof. dr. Ali Gufron Mukti, M.Sc., Ph.D., President Director of BPJS Health who was also present on the occasion stated that the collaboration between UNESA and BPJS Health is quite strategic, relating to research and data analysis. Currently, BPJS has big data and there are around 8 thousand transaction data. That is what will be developed through future research and analysis.
The collaboration is also in order to support the development of the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Facial Recognition System (FRS), which is being developed by BPJS Kesehatan. The application of FRS and AI is to increase the reach, quality and facilitate BPJS health services.
According to him, superior, qualified and capable human resources are the key to the progress of the nation. In order to work, you must be healthy. Health is not everything, but without health everything is meaningless. "Health is not everything, but without health everything is nothing," said the man from Blitar.
Therefore, one of the government's efforts in realizing a healthy society is through the National Health Insurance (JKN) program. "With this collaboration, UNESA academicians who do not have health insurance can work together in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes stated that cooperation is important as a commitment in building and realizing Indonesian human resources who are physically and mentally healthy and who are able to work and contribute to the progress of the nation and state.
For UNESA, this collaboration can improve the health quality of the UNESA academic community and the East Java community in general, as well as support the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) and the implementation of community service programs (PKM) in improving the quality of Indonesian human resources. "UNESA has a faculty of sports science and sport science, while BPJS has its programs, services and health facilities, this sports and medical collaboration is important towards East Java, which likes to move, be healthy and competitive," he said.
The signing of the cooperation was carried out between the Chancellor of UNESA Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes with the Deputy Director of BPJS Health for the East Java Region, I Made Puja Yasa, witnessed by the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prof. dr. Ali Gufron Mukti, M.Sc., Ph.D, Head of BPJS Kesehatan Surabaya Branch Betsy M. O. Roeroe, Assistant Deputy for PKKC Moeis Sanusi, Assistant Deputy for PIK Sistri Sembodo and Assistant Deputy Ryan Putra and Expert Staff to President Director Lestari Rizki.
Meanwhile, UNESA was attended by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Deputy Director of Postgraduate, UNESA Deans, Vocational Director, Head of LP3 UNESA and invited representatives of participants.
