Unesa.ac.id, MOJOKERTO—There are many ways that can be done to encourage the development of the sports and tourism industry in East Java, one of which can be a sports event such as the one that will be held by the State University of Surabaya (Unesa ) in Trawas, Mojokerto on March 3 2024.
The event in question is the Penanggungan Exotic Run (PEX RUN) 2024 which was launched (soft launch) on Sunday, January 7 2024 in Trawas, Mojokerto. "At this launch we introduced a new logo and there was a test route which will become the UNESA PEX RUN icon," said Dr. Dwi Cahyo Kartiko, S.Pd., M.Kes., Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK).
He added, PEX RUN carries out running while enjoying the charm of Mount Penanggungan which is nicknamed 'Mountain of a Thousand Temples' in all its beauty. This event consists of two road running, namely 5K and 10K. There are two categories of participants that can be entered, namely OPEN each for male andfemale aged 16-44 years and the category MASTER < /em>each for males andfemales aged 45 years and over.
"For those who want to participate, go ahead and let's get busy. Registration is possible "This can be done via https://pexrun.id/. Later you will only pay Rp. 200 thousand for registration for 5K participants and Rp. 300 thousand for 10K participants," explained the man who loves the sport of golf.
For this activity, a total prize in the form of money is prepared for the winner. Apart from that, participants also get a jersey, finisher medal, BIB or participant identification card, water station, refreshment, photographer, medical and insurance.
The man who is familiarly called Cahyo He added that the participants involved in this activity consisted of representatives of running communities in East Java and were accompanied by the Trawas District Babinsa. The aim of this activity is to motivate the general public to be active in exercising and introduce the UNESA PEX RUN event to the public as well as communities or running sports activists.
Apart from that, this event directly shows Unesa's commitment As a campus with one of the leading sports fields, it is also present and part of history in supporting the sports industry and tourism in East Java, especially in the Trawas Mojokerto tourist area. (*)
