In the monitoring, it was found that test participants had a WhatsApp group (WA) which was used to coordinate with each other about the location of the test, share tips, to training or study together.
The SNPMB committee has interviewed participants who are members of the group, including checking all the members of the group, and what is discussed in it.
"I have checked, the group contains almost 1,000 people. They know each other in social media and joined the WA group. There are no chairmen or coordinators, only admin," said Ismaini Zain, the Coordinator of the Public Relations Team and the Central SNPMB Promotion after interviewing participants
Conversations in the group about the test location, online shop .
"In the group there is no one offering something.
Laudya Revalina Faradita, one of the participants who joined the group told me that the information about the community was obtained through one of the video posts on Tiktok and Instagram. The video includes a link or group link for each UTBK location, one of which is at Unesa.
"Because I chose the test at UNESA, because the access was close to home, I joined the group.
The same thing was expressed by Amelia Krisdianti, UTBK UNESA participants from Balongsari, Surabaya. He knew the WA group's information through Telegram. In the group he and other members shared information about UTBK, including about lectures and tuition fees they got on the internet.
Laudya and Bunga Amelia hopes that the test results can be maximized, so that they can be accepted at their respective dream campuses. Laydia chose Universitas Brawijaya Malang, while Bunga chose Unesa. []
