Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (Unesa) and Chinese Culture University (CCU) are collaborating to improve the quality of education and internationalization of higher education. This collaboration was initiated by both parties in Taipei, Taiwan, on November 1 2023.
The event was led directly by Prof. Dr. Madlazim, Deputy Chancellor for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs, Surabaya State University, and Prof. Wang Tzu-Ci, Chancellor of Chinese Culture University (CCU).
This collaboration aims to expand the partnership between the two universities in various aspects, including exchange of students, lecturers, joint research, and development of joint academic programs.< /p>
This is expected to provide a more diverse and in-depth learning experience for students, as well as open up opportunities to improve the quality of education at both universities.
Prof. Dr. Madlazim, Deputy Chancellor for Division 1 of UNESA, said that this collaboration is a strategic step in preparing UNESA students to face global challenges in this increasingly connected era.
"We are very enthusiastic about collaborating with Chinese Culture University, "a well-known university in Asia with a large number of international students. This allows UNESA students to broaden their horizons, understand other cultures, and enrich their learning experience," said Madlazim.
Meanwhile, Prof. Wang Tzu-Ci, Chancellor of CCU, welcomed the collaboration. He emphasized the importance of cross-cultural collaboration in the world of higher education. "We are confident that this collaboration will provide great benefits for both universities, and will also strengthen relations between Indonesia and Taiwan in terms of higher education," said Prof. Wang.
The agenda for this cooperation initiation meeting was filled with in-depth discussions regarding the details of the cooperation to be implemented, the signing of an initial memorandum of understanding, as well as visits to various educational facilities at Chinese Culture University.
This collaboration between UNESA and CCU marks a major step in efforts to improve the quality of education and internationalization of higher education, as well as strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Taiwan.
It is hoped that the results of this collaboration will benefit both universities and contribute positive attitude towards higher education in both countries. On the occasion of this visit, the deputy chancellor for field 1 was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Mochamad Nursalim, M.Si and FIP lecturer Muchamad Arif Al Ardha, S.Pd., M.Ed., Ph.D. []
