Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – 804 Student Regiment (Menwa) together with the Unesa 804 Association of Student Regiments (Perkasa) held a reunion, social service, and shooting training activities, (15/11). The activity with the theme "The Role of 804 Unesa Perkasa Alumni in Improving the National Resilience of the Republic of Indonesia" was carried out at the Brimob Company 2-B Shoot Field, Porong, Sidoarjo. Apart from being attended by active members of Menwa 804, the activity which started at 06.30 P.M. was also attended by Marine Colonel Zaenal Abiding and AKBP Yudo Pramono, as the elder alumni, along with other alumni.
Anton Suwito as the Head of Menwa 804 for the 2020-2021 period revealed that this activity was an annual agenda which was used as a forum for maintaining amity between Menwa member students and Menwa alumni (PERKASA). In a time like now, where many people want to overthrow the NKRI (The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia), this activity is deemed important. This is certainly useful in increasing national resilience, so that the love to the country does not easily fade.
Anton also revealed that even though this activity was carried out in the middle of the pandemic, the activities took place smoothly without reducing the essence as in previous years, of course by still implementing health protocols. "The hope is that in the future, the relationship between students of Menwa members and Menwa alumni will continue to be stronger in synergy to increase qualified human resources in the world of work, society and national security," said Anton.
