Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-State University of Surabaya holds socialization of UTBK-SBMPTN and SPMB new student admission pathways through Special Dialogue program; One Step Closer to Unesa with JTV on Tuesday (6/4/2021).
In the program, Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd. Head of Unesa Admissions Unit said that this year Unesa gained trust as the organizer of UTBK which was held at three test sites. At Unesa Lidah Wetan, Unesa Ketintang and at the partner campus, Unusa. In total there are 36 UTBK rooms in Unesa. In Unesa Lidah Wetan Campus there are 13 rooms. In Unesa Ketintang Campus there are 18 rooms. While on the partner campus, Unusa has 5 rooms.
He added that Unesa has completed all preparations and of course the most important thing to note is also the application of strict health protocols for the test takers.
As scheduled, UTBK will be held simultaneously from April 12 to April 18, 2021 for the first wave and April 26 to May 2, 2021 for the second wave. Each session will be filled with 550 participants.
"In each room will be accompanied by supervisors and technicians so that the internet standards are the same and there is no term between one room and another experiencing a slow internet network and so forth" said Sukarmin.
"Prospective participants or students are expected to measure their ability when choosing a major that is different from their disciplines while in high school, so as not to complicate the learning process of prospective students during later lectures," he said.
On that occasion, Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd., Vice Rector of Academic Affairs Unesa explained that of the 4 PTN in Surabaya only Unesa facilitates participants with disabilities. This is in line with the campus's commitment in realizing a disabillitas-friendly college.
Unesa prepares special rooms, facilities, and facilities located in the Rectorate Building on the first floor for students with special needs who follow UTBK. The exam schedule takes place in the 7th session where the participants will be accompanied by a special supervisor and supervisor with their own needs.

Unesa opened the reception path as wide as possible for participants who in the event of failure in the previous test path. The achievement path consists of religious achievement pathways, sports, arts and leadership. On the path of religious achievement, intended for students who have a certificate of scientific achievement pesantren, have memorization of the Qur'an at least 10 juz and mtq champion, while on the path of sports achievement opens opportunities for prospective athletes who have had a letter of recommendation from KONI.
Furthermore, the art achievement pathway, is intended for students who have a championship certificate at the national and international level. Leadership achievement path, students who have experience as chairmen, representatives or secretaries of the student council can include certificates and certificates from the relevant agencies to follow the SPMB (Admission Selection of New Students) Unesa.
The last admission path is SPMB Mandiri (UTBK Unesa) yani admission selection conducted internally Unesa by conducting a test back directly on campus, on this admissions line gets a quota of 30 percent of students.
This SPMB program accepts New Students of Undergraduate (S1) and Applied Bachelor (D4) programs in various groups of sciences, such as Social, Law, Economics, Science and Technology, Education, Language and Arts as well as Sports.
