Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-In order to improve the quality of a healthy, safe and comfortable work environment at the State University of Surabaya, the UNESA Crisis Center Mitigation Unit (SMCC) collaborated with Pythagoras to hold a BNSP certified Occupational Health and Safety (K3) training for educators (lecturers) and education staff (tendik). representatives from all units, faculties and institutions around UNESA.
The training was held for four days, 28-31 July 2021, which was divided into two sessions. The material delivery session was held for three days, namely July 28-30 2021. While the remaining one day, July 31, 2021 for the assessment session. There were 30 participants involved in the virtual training. The details, three participants from the Faculty of Education (FIP), three participants from the Faculty of Engineering (FT), three participants from the Faculty of Sports Science (FIO), two from the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), three from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law ( FISH) and also three from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
In addition, there were three participants from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), two participants from Postgraduate, one from the Central Library, three participants from SMCC, one person from the General Section-BUK, and another person from Vocational School. The event was also attended by Suprapto, S.Pd., M.T., Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance. He appreciated the organization of the event. Because, it can improve institutional performance and encourage work productivity in every unit, institution and faculty at UNESA. "We hope that with this training, a healthy, comfortable, and safe work environment will be realized and encourage achievement and performance innovation at UNESA," he said.
Head of the UNESA SMCC Mitigation and Disaster Division Wiryo Nuryono, S.Pd., M.Pd said that the purpose of the training activities was to improve occupational safety and health guarantees within UNESA. Then, improve the skills of UNESA human resources in creating a healthy and safe work situation and environment as well as being able to anticipate things that can have an impact on personal safety and health as well as work quality.
In addition, with the BNSP (National Agency for Professional Certification) certification, UNESA HR can support improving the quality of performance and guaranteeing occupational safety and health at UNESA.
