Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya–The PHP2D DPM FIP UNESA team carried out the opening and inauguration of the Holistic Village Development and Empowerment Program (PHP2D) on Sunday, (26/09/2021) in Gundih Village, Surabaya which was attended by Heryanto Susilo, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni FIP, Windasari, S.Pd., M.Pd as Field Supervisor, as well as all ranks of RT and RW of Gundih Village.
In the socialization session, Windasari explained about their work program in the form of socialization from the Fisheries Service which included building a catfish pond, training from the catfish community, training on hydroponic plants and managing hydroponic plants. This program itself carries the title "Community Empowerment to Increase Income Through the Entrepreneurship Program for Catfish and Hydroponic Vegetable Cultivation in Gundih Village, Surabaya".
The program is expected to be a solution to the problems faced by residents. According to him, the residents of Gundih Village have potential in catfish farming. However, due to lack of attention, cultivation there is still on a small scale. Therefore the PHP2D DPM FIP Team innovated to create a hydroponic catfish and vegetable cultivation program. The community can also take advantage of catfish ponds so that they have high selling power.
Furthermore, Windasari also explained that there are several programs that the PHP2D DPM FIP team offers to the community, namely the development of entrepreneurial-based catfish management, management of aquaculture products, and development of a catfish pond environment using hydroponic vegetables that are used as clean water suppliers so as to reduce odors. generated by the pool.
In the core session, the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni FIP UNESA cut the ribbon and symbolically handed over a catfish pond. Heryanto Susilo advised the team to contribute to the development of the program implemented in Gundih village and not forget to maintain the good name of the alma mater. "Build good communication and coordination with the community and what must always be remembered, student friends are only guests so they must maintain an attitude and behave politely," he said.
