Unesa.ac.id, MAKASSAR—The Chancellor of Surabaya State University (UNESA) and his staff attended the Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Chancellor's Cup Tennis Association (ATP) tournament which was held at the Unhas Campus on Saturday-Sunday, 8-9 June 2024.
Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., or Cak Hasan, Chancellor of UNESA, along with his staff and professors from other campuses were welcomed by Unhas leadership through a welcome dinner on the Pinisi Ship, Losari Beach, on Friday, June 7 2024.
The tournament was attended by 36 teams consisting of leaders and professors from various universities throughout Indonesia. Cak Hasan said that the tennis tournament was an agenda for gathering between leaders and professors of universities throughout Indonesia.
Apart from that, it was also to encourage the spirit of sports, so that leaders and professors of universities remained healthy and fit. amidst the many responsibilities of the tridharma of higher education.
Leaders and professors of universities throughout Indonesia participating in the professorial tennis tournament were welcomed by the host at the Pinisi Ship, Losari Beach, Makassar.
"Meeting "Campus leaders and professors don't always have to be in meeting rooms, seminars and so on. However, they need to be balanced with health and fitness-based meetings," he said.
In this tournament, the election of the first chairman of the Tennis Professors Association is also scheduled. which in this case is carried out by the Chancellor of Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo as elected chairman.
As host, the Chancellor of Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., really hopes that the tennis tournament can strengthen good relations and synergy between leaders and professors of higher education institutions in Indonesia.
"Synergy must continue to be strengthened amidst the increasing challenges of higher education "That way, ideas can be discussed and communicated, the tridharma atmosphere can be strengthened, and innovation can be multiplied," he said as reported by UnhasTV on Sunday (9/6/2024).
On the sidelines of the tournament agenda. In tennis, there is an agenda for signing cooperation in the fields of education, research and service between UNESA and the host party, Unhas.
The signing of this cooperation also involves four other universities, namely Diponegoro University (Undip), Pertamina University , Jakarta State University (UNJ), and Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat).[]
