Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Surabaya State University (Unesa) released the departure of 14 Prospective Hajj Congregations or CJH (Auditum), Rectorate, Campus 2 Tongue Wetan, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Chairperson of the Unesa Wali Council (MWA), Haris Supratno conveyed a spiritual message and reflection on the meaning of the pilgrimage. Professor of the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS) emphasizes that Hajj is a sacred call.
Worship that is not only ordered to Muslims at the present time, but also lived by the previous prophets according to the commands of Allah SWT.
"then the pilgrimage will be grateful and hopefully the pilgrimage will be really mabrur," he said.
Deputy Chancellor II for Legal, Management, Finance, Resources, and Business, Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri conveyed the full support of the university leadership to prospective pilgrims.
He hopes that all the community can perform the pilgrimage with solemn and safe. "Hopefully the entire community survived to the destination and when returning to the country," he said.
One of the representatives of prospective pilgrims, Pratiwi Retnaningdyah, expressed his gratitude for the attention and support of Unesa. He hopes that this year's pilgrimage journey will be a starting point for becoming a better person.
The release activity is closed with symbolic handover of ihram fabrics by the Chancellor of Unesa, Nurhasan or Cak Hasan to prospective pilgrims as a form of respect for the smooth running of the pilgrimage later. []
