Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–The Public and Civil Service Bureau of the State University of Surabaya (BUK UNESA) held a briefing for young lecturers on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the 11th Floor Auditorium, Lidah Wetan Campus Rectorate Building, Surabaya. There were about 99 participants who took part in the debriefing. 34 of the participants were CPNS and young civil servants.
Suprapto, S.Pd., M.T., Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance expressed his pleasure in welcoming the young lecturers. He hopes. This briefing can provide references and motivation in contributing and serving the community, nation and state through UNESA. "Congratulations on serving at UNESA. I believe that you are able to be part of the flagship towards UNESA One Step Ahead," he hoped.
Tatik Supartiah, the HR Bureau of the Ministry of Education and Culture was present to provide material. He explained many things about the transfer of functional positions of lecturers or lecturers' ranks which included provisions and regulations that must be implemented and obeyed.
“Do your best. Don't make a mistake that has to be dismissed," he ordered. He added, there are several provisions related to the promotion of lecturers, including the achievement of credit scores, at least 2 years from the last rank and sufficient BKP scores.
Dr. Sulaksono, S.H., M.H as the Head of BUK hopes that these young lecturers will equally be an important part in advancing UNESA and contributing in the form of works and innovations for the advancement of society and the nation. "If you become a lecturer, don't be an ordinary lecturer. Give your best and spend all your potential to achieve achievements. If you become an achievement lecturer, you will certainly be proud for yourself, your family, your alma mater, all of us at work," he said.

Oath Taking
After the briefing, as many as 34 new lecturers took part in the "Oath Taking for Civil Servants at UNESA in the afternoon which took place in the Rector's Lobby. They were officially inaugurated by the chancellor and witnessed by a number of rectorate and faculty officials. The second session of the oath taking was held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the 11th Floor Auditorium, UNESA Rectorate Building.
Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan M.Kes. revealed that UNESA has transformed into a leading State University in the country. Currently, the campuses of the champions are preparing to become PTN-BH along with other universities, namely UNY and UNNES. "So PTN BH is not playing games, all aspects must be good, HR must also support it," he said.
He hopes that the new lecturers will be more enthusiastic about working in the era of global uncertainty. Must dare to be creative, innovate and open to collaboration. "We are also heading for a world class university. Therefore, don't just teach. Be superior and achieve as many achievements as possible. Produce quality works, do research and color international reputable journals,” he said. [UNESA PR]
