Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – Dharma Wanita Foundation Unesa together with LP3 Unesa held the Unesa Labschool Year-End Reflection event on December 30, 2021. The activity contained an explanation of the current conditions and aspirations of the Unesa Labschool to be better in the following years. In addition, the discussion was also peppered with chat about UNESA PTNBH. "Today's momentum is not just the end of the year, but can be used as an afterthought to improve ourselves. Both in the family, social, and workplace environment. This momentum can be used as a benchmark for the success of Unesa and Labschool in the following years," explained the Director of BPSL Prof. Dr. Maria Veronica Roesminingsih, M.Pd.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Unesa Dharma Wanita Foundation, Dra. Endah Purnomowati Nurhasan, M.Pd. stated that this reflection did prepare the Unesa Labschool to welcome the Free Learning and Unesa PTNBH. If Unesa changes, then Labschool itself must also be ready to experience changes and be ready to face all things that will come later.

The Chancellor of the State University of Surabaya who was also present at this event said that the Unesa Labschool must be on the same frequency with the rectorate in order to quickly follow digital trends. If there is a new culture, it must be adaptable, flexible in communication, and should not be discouraged. In accepting educators, it must also be clearly considered related to their competence. The key to the progress of the Unesa Labschool itself is being tough, coordinating, and adapting quickly
Unesa faces a real challenge in its movement to oversee the development and progress of the Unesa Labschool. When compared to several Labschool schools in Indonesia, Labschool Unesa needs to improve itself in order to increase the level of education in it. “This is a challenge. There needs to be innovation and ready to collaborate. In this case, ready to collaborate must be in any case. There needs to be collaboration between the ranks at school, don't just sit and wait. We will oversee the progress of the Unesa Labschool to be even better," concluded Nurhasan as Unesa Chancellor.
Almost at the end of the session, the bureaucrats opened a question forum. Several questions related to the construction of buildings in the labschool, cooperation between schools, welfare of teachers, and so on. "We will optimize the construction of the existing building at SD Labschool Unesa. If there are no obstacles, construction will begin in February 2022," said Nurhasan.
In this activity, the signing of the MoU and MoA between the Dharma Wanita Foundation Unesa and LP3 began with each Principal signing, starting from the kindergarten level, namely Idhata Kindergarten and Dharma Wanita II Kindergarten Unesa. Then the SD level, namely SD Laboratory for Unesa and SD Labschool Unesa Lidah Wetan. Then the junior high school level, namely Unesa I Junior High School, Unesa YDWP Laboratory Junior High School, and Unesa Lidah Wetan Labschool Junior High School. Then the last one was followed by SMA and SMK levels, namely SMA Labschool Unesa and SMK IKIP Surabaya.
This event was also complemented by the presentation of the Vice Chancellors including the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd., Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance Suprapto, S.Pd., M.T., Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni Dr. Agus Hariyanto, M.Kes., Deputy Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., and attended by the Unesa Labschool Board of Trustees, Unesa Labschool Development Team, as well as Unesa Labschool teachers and employees.
