Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA--Lecturer at the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) Surabaya State University (UNESA) and founder of the Literacy Virus House community, Much. Khoiri led RVL's third ground coffee activity at BBGP East Java, 26-27 October 2024.
In the kopdar which was attended by dozens of members of the RVL literacy community, both offline and online, several agendas were held, namely book launches, writing workshops creative, book bazaar, book grants, and Indonesian literacy awards.
“We launched 27 RVL authors with 219 book titles, namely books written in about one year. "In 2022 we launched 17 authors with 185 book titles, while in 2023 we launched 25 authors with 235 book titles," said the figure who is familiarly called Mr. Emcho or Literacy Blantik.
Meanwhile, the creative writing workshop presented writing experts and national cultural figures such as Eka Budianta, Ngainun Naim, Much. Khoiri, Sri Sugiastuti, Marjuki, Akaha Taufan Aminudin, and Didi Junaedi.

“This writing workshop is to provide motivation and creative writing techniques so that fellow writers continue to work. "Kopdar also has the momentum to charge our creative batteries," continued Khoiri.
The books produced by these writers were exhibited at book fairs and book grants, some were even deposited with the committee to be presented to the RVL Library and as souvenirs for Head of East Java BBGP. The book grants are distributed to local community reading parks in need.
"What's more important, we also provide the gift of Indonesian literacy. We call it the 2024 RVL Award, with five categories: dedicated writer, productive writer, author of the most solo books, author of the most anthology books, and author of the highest class. "A total of 24 winners, as concrete proof of work in a year," concluded Khoiri.
On that occasion, Abu Khaer as Head of BBGP East Java, expressed his high appreciation to RVL for accompanying and inspiring writing teachers in strengthening literacy. "This activity is very relevant to programs and activities related to mobilizing teachers," he said.[]
