Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The State University of Surabaya (UNESA) continues to expand cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions. Most recently, the 'campus of the champions' signed an online memorandum of understanding with SEAMEO (The Southeast Asian Ministers Of Education Organization) on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
The memorandum of understanding signed by the Chancellor of Unesa, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., and Director of SEAMEO Dr. Ethel Agnez P Valaenzuela produced several plans for future collaborations, including internship programs, guest lectures, workshops for lecturers and students, research and publications to student exchanges.
UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., stated that cooperation is part of UNESA's efforts to build collaboration. For him, collaboration is part of the key to creating innovation towards a superior campus for advanced Indonesia.
“Now is the time for collaboration, shared walks and shared commitments in providing quality education for the community. Quality education is an important foundation in advancing the country," he said.
SEAMEO Director Dr. Ethel Agnez P Valaenzuela hopes that the memorandum of understanding will be a strategic step in improving the quality of the tridharma of higher education at UNESA and other campuses.
SEAMEO is an intergovernmental education organization of Southeast Asian countries to promote regional cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture with the aim of improving the quality of human resources, sharpening the capacity of mindsets that are in accordance with the demands of the current era, and providing equal access to education. .
In addition, it is also to increase interaction with all education stakeholders to continue to synergize, work hand in hand to ensure the continuity of life with adequate education. The signing of the agreement which lasted for a short time was attended by the Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., Chairman of OIA Unesa Asrori, S.S., M.Pd., and members of SEAMEO.
