Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-After signing the MoU in cooperation with City University Malaysia, Unesa further signed a Memorandum of Understanding with seameo Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (SEAMEO VOCTECH) Brunei Darussalam, Thursday (8/4/2021).
The tagging was done virtually by Rector Unesa Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes and Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation with Awang Alias bin Abu Bakar, Centre Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH and Dr.h.c. Paryono, M.Sc., Ph.D Deputy Director for Professional Affairs SEAMEO VOCTECH.
The cooperation includes the development of lecture programs, workshops, training and education. Exchange researchers for research, lecturers and collaborations in international discussions, seminars and conferences. Also, in other areas.
Rector Of Unesa Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes explained that the realization of the cooperation was pioneered online and hybridly. Unesa strongly supports the cooperation and is willing to allocate a special budget for it. "If SEAMEO wants to examine what field, and what theme, and whose team is just communicated and we can realize," he said.
Meanwhile, Dr.h.c. Paryono, M.Sc., Ph.D welcomed rector Unesa's offer and said he was ready to be followed up as soon as possible. In fact, he hopes that cooperation can also grow to a regional and even international scale.
"We are very pleased with this cooperation and SEAMEO respectfully invites Unesa to join several leadership and management training programs in Singapore," he said. "Then for the International webinar on industry 4.0 we plan later this year as well and invite international experts," he continued.
Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani, M.Pd., who was also present on the occasion said that the cooperation is an opportunity for both parties in improving the quality of education, research and community service in two institutions. In addition, it also further strengthens relationships that encourage productivity, creativity and innovation in each university.
Meanwhile, Director of Postgraduate Unesa Dr. Edy Mintarto, M.Kes, said that Unesa Postgraduate supports the cooperation efforts and awaits its implementation. "In fact, we are ready to accept students from developing countries. We hope, with SEAMEO the program can be maximized and optimal in the future," he said. (Hasna/Zam)
