Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–The Navy from the Naval Technology College (STTAL) in collaboration with the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held a second dose of Covid-19 Vaccination Raid on Thursday, (10/14/2021) at the UNESA LP3 Building. As before, this vaccination event also targets the UNESA academic community and the surrounding maritime community.
STTAL Commander, TNI First Admiral Dr. Ir. Avando Bastari, M.Phil., M.Tr.Opsla., represented by the Secretary of the STTAL Institute, Colonel Laut (KH) Dr. Adi Bandono, M.Pd., when reviewing the implementation of the Sinovac type of Covid-19 vaccination, stated that so far the Navy has focused on targeting the maritime community and also surrounding educational institutions.
The State University of Surabaya fully supports this activity. Dr. H. Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri, M.Pd. as the Chairperson of the UNESA LP3 was also present in the vaccine attack. Bachtiar himself expressed his appreciation and gratitude to STTAL for holding the event.
He continued, the vaccine attack was very helpful in evenly distributing vaccinations at UNESA considering the limited and gradual implementation of face-to-face meetings or lectures (TPM). Based on the UNESA circular, students and lecturers are only given PTM if they have received at least the first dose of vaccine. "We are very grateful and fully appreciate this activity, hopefully this kind of collaboration can continue to be carried out to assist the government in accelerating vaccination in the community," he said.
As a technical team, SMCC UNESA fielded a team with the Kodiklatal Health Unit and STTA Health Unit. There are about 600 doses of vaccine prepared. Overall vaccination by STTAL has reached 3,100 doses to the maritime community. "Hopefully this Sinovac vaccination attack can achieve Herd Immunity in educational institutions and in the community," hoped Marine Colonel (KH) Dr. Adi Bandono, M.Pd. (hasna/zam)
