Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–LP3 UNESA again held a Coordination Meeting for the Implementation of Teacher Professional Education in Position 4 in 2021 on 8-9 October 2021 at the Mercure Grand Mirama Hotel, Surabaya. The meeting was attended by Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd. as Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. H. Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri, M.Pd Chairman of LP3, and Drs. Fatkur Rohman Kafrawi, M.Pd as the Head of the UNESA PPG Center.
In addition, there were 144 participants consisting of the LMS admin team, ad-hoc team, corps, corps, school principals and civil servant teachers who would later be involved in the implementation of PPG stage 4. In his speech, Fatkur Rohman Kafrawi explained the purpose of the event, namely as an effort to prepare PPG stage 4 participants who will soon carry out a comprehensive exam.
"If the comprehensive exam does not pass, the student cannot take the PPL," he said. In addition, it is also to determine the PPL schedule which will be carried out online assisted by the civil servant teachers. Fatkur said there are about 33 classes that will participate which will be assisted by 170 tutor teachers. The assumption is that one class has at least 5 tutors. A total of 225 lecturers will also be involved.
“In particular, we know that this PPG stage 4, we accept a fairly large volume of students. So of course it requires more intense coordination, so that the planned system runs well," said Bachtiar S Bachri.
The Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation expressed his gratitude and great appreciation for the implementation of these various activities as an effort to improve the quality and quality of teachers in advancing education in Indonesia. "With this belief, through this PPG program, we can maximize quality, innovative and creative learning," said Sujarwanto.
He also conveyed the chancellor's hopes for PPG UNESA. “The Chancellor hopes that in classroom workshops, school experiences can guide PPG students to get new innovations. This can be extracted from various research results and scientific studies from various journals,” he said. So that the learning carried out at PPG can run well, besides that the experiences provided can lead students through the tests they will face to become professional teachers. (hasna)
