Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA - Rector 1 Deputy Chief of Education, Student Affairs, and Unesa Alumni, Martadi was lined up as Chairperson of the Indonesian Student Sports Development Agency (Bapomi) East Java The 2025-2027 service period at the Unesa Rectorate, Campus 2 Tongue Wetan, on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
Martadi was inaugurated with the Coordination Meeting (Coordination Meeting) of East Java Bapomi. After the inauguration, the board of management discussed various important agendas in the future, one of which was related to the preparation of the East Java Provincial Student Sports Week (Pomprov) and the 2025 National Student Sports Week (Pomnas) in Central Java.
In his remarks, Martadi Emphasizing three main things that must be a concern in the process of transitioning the leadership of Bapomi East Java.
First, must obey the principle and obey legality. The second focus on the main agenda, namely Pomprov and Pomnas. Third, preparation and budget must be really carefully thought out so that East Java remains a national sports parameter.
He invites all to strengthen and collaborate with each other. He hoped that the mandate as the chairman on his shoulders could be an added value for Bapomi East Java.

In addition, Martadi emphasized the importance of fostering student athletes to be able to compete in the national and international arena. He is committed to strengthening the training system and competition to improve the quality of athletes in East Java.
"We must create a sports ecosystem that supports student athletes to develop. With the right strategy. I am sure that East Java can continue to give birth to outstanding athletes, "he stressed.
On the other hand Deputy Chair 1 of East Java Bapomi, Muarifin also emphasized that the election of Bapomi's general chairman must come from the student or Belmawa.
