Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–The State University of Surabaya (UNESA) continues to improve the quality of services, publications and performance management of the public relations department, one of which is by conducting working visits (kunkers) at other universities to discuss and share experiences about public relations governance.
Recently, the UPT HUMAS UNESA team visited Brawijaya University and Malang State University on Thursday, November 11, 2021. The departing team consisted of; 1) Head of UPT PR UNESA Vinda Maya, S.Sos., M.A. 2) Head of Publication and Institutional Image Division, Gilang Gusti Aji, S.I.P., M.Sc. 3) Head of Documentation and Information Services Division, Prima Vidya Asteria, S.Pd., M.Pd. 4) Sub-coordinator of Administration and Data Management, Supriyanti, S.Sos. 5) Administration Manager, Supi'ah, S.E., and 6) PPID Implementing Documentation Sector Ayunda Nuril Chodiyah, S.Pd. Besides that, there are 7) Galuh Gita Indrajayani, and 8) Dewi Ratnasari Firdausi.
Vinda Maya stated that at Brawijaya University, they discussed improving the quality of PPID in the future. On that occasion, UNESA and UB share experiences and information about how to improve the quality of governance and performance of PPID in the future. "We also discussed how the challenges of PR in the future and strategies to improve the quality of public services," he said.
Head of PIDK UB Zulfaidah Penata Gama, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. revealed several things that can support the improvement of information services such as the concept of synergy with the Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID) and all units at the university. In addition, commitment is also needed in realizing quality public services, coordination in public information services, and also means of providing public information services electronically through the PPID website, social media to PPID applications that can be downloaded on the Playstore.
From UB, the UNESA group continued their visit to UM which was welcomed by Ifa Nursanti, S.Ap as the Head of Public Relations Subdivision and her staff. There the two parties also discussed about public relations including tips and strategies that can be done to improve the quality of informative and effective higher education public services.
Vinda Maya said that during the visit, UNESA learned and discussed how to improve the quality of public services. In the awarding of Public Information Disclosure at Government Public Bodies in 2021, UNESA still maintains its predicate as a state university that is quite informative. In the future, UNESA can achieve the predicate towards informative or even informative.
