Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—A number of leading universities in Indonesia, one of which is the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) will take part in the ASEAN Higher Education Conference 2023 (AHEC) in Bandung on August 24-26 2023.
< p>This prestigious event which was attended by representatives from ASEAN countries consisted of various main activities, namely conferences and innovation exhibitions.On that occasion UNESA showcased a number of its advantages. First, show off the study program in front of ASEAN students. Second, products and innovations such as automatic presto machines, semi-automatic milking machines to a number of applications.
"Representing Indonesia at this conference, we have a target to introduce our program to ASEAN students so that they are interested in studying or take the student exchange program at UNESA," said Prof. Dr. Madlazim, M.Sc, Deputy Chancellor IV of UNESA attending the exhibition.
He added, UNESA has a network of cooperation with agencies in a number of countries, has excellent programs such as BIPA, for example, which supports student exchanges between countries. There are already many foreign students studying at UNESA.
In addition, the campus with the slogan 'One Step Ahead' also has fields that are of interest to a number of foreign students such as the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers or BIPA program, arts, culture to sports.
"This conference also allows us to establish more collaborations with foreign universities or institutions. In essence, all campuses are brought together and cooperation is open to encourage the pace of innovation at each campus," he explained.
AHEC 2023 brings together university leaders, lecturers, students, as well as government and industry representatives from ASEAN countries to discuss strategic and collaborative steps related to the role of higher education as a growth catalyst.
< p>At the conference, three important topics were discussed, such as strengthening pentahelix, the future of higher education innovation and optimizing digital technology, and the role of universities in building community resilience to promote environmental sustainability.From UNESA, also attended Deputy Chancellor for Research, Community Service, Innovation, Publication, and University Rankings, Junaidi Budi Prihanto, S.KM., M.KM., Ph.D., Head of Sub Directorate of International Affairs Asrori, S.S., M.Pd., and the directorate related.
