Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—The academic ecosystem continues to be strengthened at Surabaya State University (UNESA) through various domestic and international cooperation programs. Most recently, the 'House of Champions' campus initiated collaboration with the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO) or The Dutch Research Council at the end of November 2023.
NWO is the research body with the largest funding in the Netherlands which is located in Utrecht and as the most important research funding institution in the Land of Windmills.
"This collaboration is our effort to improve the quality of research and strengthen the education and innovation ecosystem at UNESA. Most importantly, it is to open up opportunities for learning and development for students," said the Chancellor of UNESA, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes.
The Chancellor, who is familiarly called Cak Hasan, added that one of the programs planned in collaboration with NWO is international mobility for students and lecturers. For example, lecturers can carry out joint research with leading researchers in the Netherlands.
