With this championship it is a matter of pride for the Indonesian Pickleball Association which was just passed last year. Then, this is also the second national competition for the sport of Pickleball to be successfully held. "Hopefully this competition can run smoothly and contribute to the development of the sport of Pickleball," he hoped.
Agus Hariyanto also explained that Pickleball is a new sport in Indonesia which was only officially formed in November 2020, where the first general chairman of the Indonesian Pickleball Association (PPI) was Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes, Rector of Unesa. Agus believes that this sport can develop well in Indonesia.
This is marked by the participation of 105 athletes from 10 provinces in this second national championship. "Hopefully the next national championship will get bigger, so we really hope that this Pickleball will soon be recognized as a member of the central KONI and one day we can carry out Pickleball in the upcoming championships," he concluded.
