Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Unesa Football Team had the opportunity to visit Sebelas Maret State University (UNS) Surakarta on Saturday (3/27/2021) in a Friendly Match as one of the series of 45th Dies Natalis UNS.
On that occasion, Unesa FC competed against UNS FC and Farmasi FC teams and played two sessions. The first session was held on Saturday (27/3) at UNS Stadium. As for the second session was held on Sunday (28/3/2021) in Kalioso Village Square.
Unesa itself brings 19 players consisting of lecturers and employees. Unesa FC successfully defeated uns team and Pharmacy FC team. Unesa FC initially missed two points in the first session against UNS team with a score of 4-2. However, Unesa returned with a 6–1 victory in the second session.
Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd. as vice rector for Planning and Cooperation who also helped strengthen Unesa FC on that occasion also introduced a study program in Unesa with a variety of scholarships.
He said that Unesa is in the process of establishing several new study programs, one of which is the Football Study Program at the Faculty of Sports Science. Later, prospective students who graduate from the study program can immediately get an AFC license that can be used to become a coach in the international arena. In addition, Unesa also socializes about strengthening tracer study for alumni.
David Agus Prianto, S.Pd., M.Pd said that although the Surabaya–Solo trip takes about 4 hours and affects the physical condition of the players. However, it did not detract from the spirit of the game to bring the big name Unesa in the friendly match. In the near future, continued David, Unesa has plans to return to the neighboring city, Malang. "The plan before fasting, we boyong all unesa FC players as many as 30 people for this healthy, happy and friendly sport," he concluded (hasna /zam)
