Unesa.ac.id., PADANG--Strengthening PTN-BH institutional governance continues to be demonstrated by Surabaya State University (UNESA) through various strategies and programs. One of the activities carried out was Sharing Strategy at Andalas University (UNAND), Padang on Tuesday, October 17 2023.
This activity involved all levels of rectorate leadership; starting from the Board of Trustees, Academic Senate, vice chancellor, dean, director, head of sub-directorate, to UNESA environmental divisions or sections. They were welcomed by the leadership, deans and heads of UNAND environmental institutions.
Chairman of the UNESA Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Haris Supratno in his speech said that there were several things that were discussed with the leadership of Andalas University, including those related to the achievement of Main Performance Indicators (IKU) for Legal Entity State Universities (PTN-BH).
Apart from that, also regarding standard operational procedures for services of all lines within the university organs, as well as discussing strengthening in terms of opening campuses outside the main campus.
"What we discussed on this occasion is an important basis for evaluating policies and strategies "which has been running as well as a reference in improving future policies and programs," he said.
In his speech, Deputy Chancellor 1 for Education and Student Affairs UNAND, Prof. Dr. Mansyurdin, MS, expressed his gratitude for the arrival of the UNESA team, in order to establish good relations and educational cooperation, PTN-BH.
So far, the campus has carried out various transformations by exploring its potential and it turns out that its strength lies in research . For this reason, UNAND focuses more on superior research. "Even though our focus is on research, it is of course accompanied by improving the quality of education and service according to the core tridharma of higher education," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor IV for Planning, Research, Innovation and Cooperation, UNAND Dr. Hefrizal Handra, M.Soc.Sc., explained last year's KPI achievements, they achieved a figure of 68.4 and this year set the target that has been given by Diktiristek.
"In order to optimize KPI achievements, we are supported by the team "The Taskforce and Sub-Directorate are tasked with closely monitoring data on the achievements of 8 IKUs. For the organizational structure, we are assisted by the university secretary who has 5 service offices," he said.
UNAND targets to become a Research University. Their strategy is to increase the number of Scopus publications, which this year must reach 1,000 publications. Apart from that, we also increased the number of foreign students and the number of study programs with international accreditation.
"Our Q1 publication incentive is a maximum of 50 million. We are also supported by 174 professors who are expected to be the locomotive towards a Research University," explained The man graduated from Public Finance, Flinders University of South Australia.
Apart from discussions, the two parties also signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen institutional governance and the tridharma of higher education. []
