Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-The music concert of the Sendratasik Department entered its fourth event by presenting a performance with the theme "My Archipelago Rises Against Covid" on Friday (18/06/2021). The event was enlivened with special performances from ITS Jazz Collaboration, Bassrange, and Saxxman.
The event was opened with remarks from the Head of the Unesa Ballet School, Anik Juwariyah, M.Sc. He congratulated the students of the Music Arts Study Program for organizing the event. "I am proud, during this pandemic, my friends are still working and are always enthusiastic about completing college assignments," he said.
Lanang, the chief executive of the event said that the music concert was held with a strong determination to continue working. In addition, through this work, students can convey many things in innovative ways. "We also encourage and strengthen each other through music during the pandemic," he said. He hopes that all students from various regions in Indonesia can still adapt and continue to rise through work even though the situation has not recovered.
The core event of the concert was the first appearance of the ITS Jazz Collaboration. There were performances of songs from East Java and Central Java, ITS Jazz Collaboration and Salma Sandy Choniken with melodious and cool musical collaborations singing the first verse of the song Gambang Suling and other songs.
Then the second performer was from Bassrange, who graduated from the National College Music League, ranked first. Bassrange beautifully harmonized West Java and Bali songs. The appearance of three bands from the ITS Jazz Collaboration, Bassrange, and Saxxman closed the music concert performance this time by singing the national anthem "Indonesia Pusaka". (Madina)
