Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA - UNESA's S-1 German Language Education Study Program and UNESA's S-1 German Literature Study Program collaborated with the Sidoarjo Regency German Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMP) to hold a workshop on developing German language teacher competencies. The event will be held at the end of 2021.
The training was attended by German language teachers not only from Sidoarjo, but also from Surabaya, Mojokerto, Jombang, Bangkalan, Kediri and also from Lombok. The output is that teachers write best practices which will be collected and published into books.
Yunanfathur Rahman, SS, MA., Head of German Literature S-1 Study Program said, of all the participants, some were still in the process of writing and had not been collected. The manuscripts that have been collected and turned into books are the works of the German Language MGMP, Sidoarjo.
The books that have been successfully published are, 1) A volume on Good Lesson Planning: Inspiring German Teachers. This book contains a German lesson plan (RPP) with a variety of topics for discussion. Also included are implementation experiences that can be used as a reference in planning an active and inspiring learning.
The lesson plans discussed and published in the book are the best of all the lesson plans made by German language teachers and have been selected in such a way. 2) An Interest in Good Learning Planning: German Teachers Inspire. This second book discusses various aspects of students and the school environment that teachers must understand.
Dwi Imroatu Julaikah, S.Pd., M.Pd., a German Language Education S-1 lecturer who was involved in the training stated that, with the launch of this book, it is hoped that this book will help German teachers in making lesson plans and implementing effective, inspiring and motivate students. In addition, this book can also be a reference for prospective teachers, especially education students.
The realization of these two books took quite a long time. Many parties are involved. Starting from German language teachers to students and lecturers of the Department of German Language and Literature UNESA as editors.
“The plan is for this book to be released and disseminated to readers, especially German language teachers. We hope that this collaborative work can be an inspiration for readers and audiences," said Dwi Imroatun Julaikah.
Head of the German MGMP Kab. Sidoarjo, Jeki Purnami, S.Pd said that the collaboration from training to publishing works in the form of books was very useful and helped teachers, especially German teachers, in sharing their learning and teaching experiences.
In the future, the collaboration will concentrate on planning, designing and implementing fun German learning strategies for students. One that has been developed is learning German through songs.
