Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The State University of Surabaya (UNESA) received many visits from various schools. Most recently, the campus with the slogan 'One Step Ahead' was visited by SMA Al-Hikmah Surabaya on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. The school group was welcomed by the UNESA Admissions Unit in the Rector's Lobby, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
Ahmad Fais, S.Si., M.Pd., one of the teachers of SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya, said that the purpose of the visit was to establish friendship and find out information about new student admissions at UNESA. "Many of our students want to study at UNESA, of course we hope to get information about the admission routes including the terms and conditions that we need to prepare," he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd., Head of the UNESA Admissions Unit explained that in ratios and statistics, UNESA enthusiasts are getting higher from year to year. In fact, the competition in most of the study programs is getting tougher. Acceptance of new students at UNESA through three pathways, SNMPTN, SBMPTN and SPMB or Mandiri. “Now the SNMPTN registration process is being carried out by LTMPT. For the Mandiri path, UNESA also provides an achievement path," explained Sukarmin.
Meanwhile, Vinda Maya, UNESA's Head of Public Relations, explained that this year, UNESA increased the ceiling for new student admissions from 6,500 to 11,000. He said, several things were done by schools so that their graduates could be accepted at the destination state universities.
