Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD): Development of Sport Science with the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) Makassar in Meeting Room 801, Rectorate , Lidah Wetan Campus, on Saturday, August 26, 2020.
This FGD was attended by UNESA rectorate leaders, deans of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) and FIKK as well as officials from related faculties and directorates. UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that this activity was intended to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between UNESA and UMI Makassar regarding the development of sport science including medicine.
In addition, it also discussed the development of sports education in Indonesia . According to the man who is familiarly called Cak Hasan, the development of sports is now extraordinary. The challenge is how to adapt so as not to be left behind.
“One way that can be done is to quickly study the potential that exists in the field of sports and continue to adapt. Hatta Fattah, MS., said that the information in the FGD this time was very important as an effort for UMI Makassar to increase sports achievements. His party has optimism to develop sport science, of course with the support and collaboration from UNESA.
