SURABAYA—Even though she has various duties as a study program coordinator and as a jalasenastri or wife as an Indonesian Navy officer, this has not dampened Yuli Astutik's enthusiasm for completing her doctoral studies in Language and Literature,Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS). He not only graduated, but also achieved the title of best graduate of the doctoral program with a perfect GPA of 4.00.
What are the tips? Yuli explained that as the coordinator of the English study program at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo (Umsida), there are many schedules every day, including teaching, research and lecturing.
In the midst of this busy schedule, Yuli must be clever at dividing her time in as much detail as possible. between schedules on campus and accompanying her husband as well as being a housewife.
"There are so many challenges, but yes, obligations in the study program must be carried out, college must also be enjoyed, even with extraordinary efforts," she said.< /p>
The woman who was born on August 16 1984 revealed that apart from studying for a doctorate at UNESA, she also underwent a short course at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
For her, studying Knowledge in Kangaroo Country is an opportunity that will never happen again. This woman, who enjoys looking after cats and drinking coffee, shares tips on how to achieve achievements, amidst the various activities she is involved in.
First, have confidence and high enthusiasm for learning. "Confidence is the main pillar in doing anything. If you are not sure about anything, especially when studying, it will definitely be difficult in the future," he explained.
Second, sacrificing sleep time to complete assignments. “When I finished teaching, I rarely slept, rushing to do my coursework. "I spend a lot of time pursuing knowledge," he said.
Third, I can balance myself. "The busy activities caused me to fall down or get so tired that I was hospitalized, because I had to travel from Surabaya to Riau. However, I don't want to lose to the situation. "Sickness is not a reason to stop," he stressed.
Fourth, prayers and support from parents, children and husband. Yuli was in shock during her dissertation exam, because her mother was back in the hospital, while she didn't get any information from her family about her mother's condition.
“I only found out after reading WA after the exam. But I know, my husband meant that, to focus on taking the exam. "Thank you to your beloved family, supervisors, lecturers and leaders of UNESA," he said.
For your information, Yuli Astutik was confirmed as the best graduate at the 109th Graduation Ceremony of Surabaya State University (UNESA) at the level of Associate Expert, Applied Bachelor , Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees at Graha UNESA, on Thursday (1/2/2024). In this period, UNESA confirmed 1,380 graduates, two of whom achieved a perfect GPA, one of whom was Yuli Astutik. []
