Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–BIPA Surabaya State University received a team visit from UIN Walisongo Semarang on Tuesday, (26/10) at the UNESA Postgraduate CPD Building. During this visit, Octo Dendy Andriyanto, S.Pd., M.Pd was present. as the head of BIPA UNESA, Asrori, S.S., M.Pd., and the team. Meanwhile, UIN Walisongo was attended by H. Alis Asikin M.A., along with the language development center team at UIN Walisongo Semarang.
The visit was aimed at comparative studies and exchanging experiences in terms of developing the BIPA (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers) program. In his speech, Alis Asikin expressed his gratitude to BIPA UNESA for the welcome and the opportunity for the discussion. "We came with the aim of sharing about how to manage and develop Indonesian language learning for foreign speakers," he said.
Octo Dendy Andriyanto stated that BIPA UIN Walisongo will learn a lot in terms of the management and development of BIPA at UNESA. "BIPA must be able to synergize between universities and other related institutions, such as the BIPA team that works with OIA UNESA to increase the number of foreign students at UNESA," he said.
Regarding the management of BIPA, according to him, it consists of several programs and activities; there are cultural arts activities, national BIPA festivals and competitions, BIPA promotions, BIPA participants, collaborations, teachers to increase competence. "Hopefully this collaboration can continue and provide mutual benefits to each other," hoped Octo Dendy Andriyanto. (Hasna/zam)
