Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-State University of Surabaya (UNESA) again won the title of Quite Informative for the category of State Universities in the Public Information Openness Award at Government Public Bodies (KIP) in 2021. The award ceremony was held virtually by the Central Information Commission on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, which was attended by various universities tall.
In the list of public universities that are sufficiently informative, UNESA ranks first, followed by Mulawarman University in the second list, Medan State University in third position, Semarang State University in fourth position, Unej and Khairun University in fifth and sixth positions. Furthermore, UPN and Universitas Sebelas Maret were in seventh and eighth positions respectively.
Head of the Information Commission, Pusat Gede Narayana stated that in 2021, the Central Information Commission has implemented one of the national priority programs, namely the preparation of the Public Information Disclosure Index (IKIP), while the 2021 National Public Information Disclosure Index is still in a moderate position with a score of 71, 37.
Although it is still moderate, from year to year, there is a significant increase in the number of public bodies in the informative category and towards informative as well as a decrease in the number of public bodies that are quite informative, not informative and less informative.
The event was attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (HC) K.H. Ma'ruf Amin to give the Award to a Public Agency with informative qualifications for his commitment to implementing Public Information Disclosure. Meanwhile, UNESA was attended by UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan., M.Kes., and the Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd.
Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd stated that what UNESA achieved this year needs to be appreciated. From year to year, at least UNESA has shown a fairly good trend of public information disclosure. UNESA continues to be committed to improving the quality of innovative and application-based public information.
"We don't want to be complacent, UNESA is committed to continuing to improve the quality of information disclosure as a culture to realize good, clean, effective and efficient university governance," he said.
