Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The Faculty of Education (FIP) Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) launched Child Care Services (LPA) in the 2022 Education Month Activities on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the FIP Page, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya. The service is named SUNSHINE.
Dr. Ruqoyyah Fitri, S.Ag., M.Pd., Chairperson of LPA SUNSHINE said that the childcare service started from the needs in the field. After the pandemic, parents began to be active again outside the home. While the children are with their caregivers at home or in day care. According to him, today's child care is more about care, while the nuances of education and aspects of its development are less touched.

Therefore, the service they launched was more than care or care. SUNSHINE is a partner in child care and education services by optimizing developmental aspects including psychological, physiological, cognitive and spirituality. "This service will be handled directly by experts and experienced and professional personnel in the field of early childhood education," he said.
"So all aspects of child development are really considered. Later there will be psychologists, child education experts who educate and monitor children's development, including their interests and talents and follow up in the future," he said.
In addition to complete expertise, SUNSHINE also has facilities consisting of an indoor playroom, bedroom, children's pool, CCTV access for parents, and consulting services. "This service is located in the PLA Building, UNESA, Lidah Wetan Campus," he explained.
Dean of FIP., Dr. Mochamad Nursalim, M.Sc., said that the Day Care was part of UNESA's efforts to provide the best education and care for children. Given, the early developmental period of children is very important to note and be part of the determinants of the next age. "Some UNESA experts and knowledge can be useful for the community," he said.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd., who launched the service, stated that SUNSHINE Day Care is a manifestation of the spirit of activists and educational institutions that return to work after being buried.
“FIP is moving directly to launch services for the community. This innovation is certainly the answer to the world of education and child care for the sake of a healthy Indonesian generation, continues to grow and develop well, "he said. "This activity and the launch of this service is a gift for FIP and UNESA in the month of education," he said again.
On the sidelines of the month of education with the theme “New Normal, Surviving and Adapting in Education”, the signing of the MoU and MoA between FIP and Al-Ibra Foundation, Gresik.
