Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—In the last few days, news has circulated that there is an offer to make it easier to enter Surabaya State University (UNESA) from parties acting on behalf of UNESA leadership. The offer circulated on social media, one of which was the WhatsApp group.
Based on the narrative, the short message offered to make it easier to enter the 'Home of Champions' campus on the grounds that the party had already had an audience with UNESA. The sender of the short message also volunteered to be contacted or contacted personally by residents who want their children to enter UNESA.
UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., stated that the news and offers of easy access to UNESA for young people around the UNESA campus were definitely not true, aka HOAKS.
UNESA does not open any routes outside the valid admission route such as the SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement), UTBK-SNBT (National Selection Based on Test) route, and the Mandiri or SPMB route.
Regarding the independent route, almost everything has been implemented, except for the TMUBK wave two (II) route which is open from 13 July 2024 to 23 July 2024. All admission routes at UNESA are based on strict selection, namely tests and interviews, including TMUBK which selection is based on a computer-based test.
"If there are certain parties on behalf of UNESA institutions or leaders, who promise or offer to enter UNESA or with other inducements, it is certain that this is not true," said Cak Hasan.
"I urge the public to be careful of all forms of fraud related to new student admissions in the name of the chancellor or UNESA leadership," said Cak Hasan again.
