Autism Awareness Day (WAAD). On this year's commemoration, Waad carries the theme " Advancing Neurodiversity and the Un Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS).
This theme highlights the diversity of the workings or brain development of each person. In addition, it also emphasizes that inclusive policies and practices can encourage positive changes for autism groups throughout the world.
According to Professor of Disability the University of Surabaya (Unesa), Budiyanto, Waad this year must be a momentum to advance neurodaya and make it as part of the continuous development program.
" With autism, but also about how this diversity can contribute in building a more inclusive world, "he said.
Awareness and this movement is important to build a more friendly and inclusive society. This goal needs to be supported by shared understanding and awareness in accepting the presence and guaranteeing the rights of autism groups.
