Directorate of Prevention and Management of Strategic Issues
The Directorate for Prevention and Handling of Strategic Issues, hereinafter referred to as the PPIS Directorate, was established on February 13, 2023. This directorate is a merger of three service units at Unesa: the Crisis Mitigation Center Task Force (SMCC), the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (PPKS), and the Ideology Development Center (PPI). The PPIS Directorate carries out its primary role and function as a center for the prevention and handling of three violence issues: sexual violence, bullying, and intolerance. It also serves as a center for mental health, anti-drug, and disaster services for the academic community and the community. In 2024, the PPIS was granted an additional mandate to provide academic guidance and counseling services.
The PPIS Directorate was founded on the belief that human resources are the nation's true wealth. Healthy Indonesians are the most important asset for the nation's future. Campus as a place to process and grow into a better human being with character, requires a campus atmosphere that is physically and mentally healthy and safe from all forms of violence.
