The enactment of Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Openness requires public bodies to provide information services to the public. The principle of openness of information is one of the components in realizing good governance with important aspects, namely transparency, participation, and accountability. Transparency of public information enables the public to participate actively in controlling every step and policy taken by the government so that governance can be held accountable to the public (accountability). The Universitas Negeri Surabaya Public Information Service website is structured as a channel that provides easy access to various available documents and information so as to facilitate information applicants. This step is a step for Universitas Negeri Surabaya to fulfill the provisions of the law as well as a step to improve the quality of the organization's services to the public.
