Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The UNESA Student Consultative Assembly held an online national webinar on Monday, November 29, 2021. This webinar raised the theme “The Urgency of Youth and Students in Guarding Democracy to Realize Good Governance”.
Aditya Jati Dwijayanti, as the Chief Executive of the National Webinar, said that the purpose of holding this activity was one of the work programs of the Student Consultative Assembly for this one year. In addition, the main objective of this activity is to awaken the youth ranks to always be critical of the phenomena regarding democracy and governance that are occurring in Indonesia.
This activity began with singing the song Indonesia Raya and Mars UNESA, followed by remarks from Iman Pasu Marganda Hadiarto Purba, SH, MH as the Advisor for the Student Consultative Assembly. He explained that as a community, especially students, it is necessary to guard the government and ensure that officials are on the right track.
He added, as the younger generation, we must not only follow the flow, but also must be critical and objective based on valid data so as not to criticize the government carelessly, so that we can continue to monitor the government so that there is no abuse of its authority.
In addition, there were 4 main speakers who attended this event to share their knowledge in the fields of government and politics. The speakers who attended this National Webinar were Diana AV Sasa, a member of the East Java DPRD; Danie Budi Tjahyono, member of the Central Java DPRD; Haris Pertama S.H, General Chairperson of the KNPI DPP; Johan Fitriadi, Head of Budpol Bakesbangpol East Java Province.
The enthusiasm of the participants also enlivened the webinar activity. About 100 people who attended became participants. They are from UNESA itself or from outside parties. The Chief Executive hopes that students and youth who take part in this activity can move forward in guarding Indonesian democracy.
