Unesa.ac.id, Kediri - KKN Unesa Kediri 5 students ended their one-semester service period in the Boro neighborhood, Pojok Village, Mojoroto District, Kediri City (21/06). The implementation of all work programs that have been planned from the start is the biggest achievement in their KKN activities. All of that is evidenced by a tick in every program they plan.
In practice, they take concrete actions by implementing various programs that are in accordance with the needs of the community in the Boro Environment. The real action is at the same time a solution to the problems and anxieties that have been experienced by the people in the Boro Environment.
The first program they carried out targeted the education sector. This program aims to help solve the difficulties of parents and children in undergoing the educational process during the pandemic. The program which is embodied in teaching, dancing, outbound, mural, and gymnastic activities also aims to relieve fatigue during the pandemic.
The second program explores the health sector. In its implementation, they carried out socialization related to covid, spraying disinfectants, and socializing about dengue fever. To complement the health program, a community service program was also implemented which was realized with village clean-up activities. Both are continuous to maintain the safety of citizens during the pandemic.
In addition to these two programs, there are also two programs that embrace the Boro neighborhood community to achieve harmony, prosperity, and independence, namely the social service program in the form of sharing basic necessities and sharing takjil, as well as environmental programs with themes related to aquaponics.
The program, which was run by the Unesa 5 Kediri City KKN students, was considered by the community to be quite helpful. Moreover, they have been accepted by the people of the Boro Environment since the beginning of their arrival. This was evidenced by the village apparatus and local communities who were also present to welcome their arrival.
In his remarks at the closing ceremony of the KKN, Erly Maya Muryati as the Chair of the Corner Village expressed her gratitude to the group of KKN Unesa Kediri 5 students who had taken part in solving the problems experienced by the Boro Environment community. "I see that the arrival of Unesa KKN students in 2021 will bring benefits to the people of the Pojok Village, especially the Boro Environment. And during the KKN implementation until now, I conclude that these children (KKN students) have succeeded in their mission," he said. (KKN Unesa Kediri Team 5)
